Noisettes

Noisettes é uma banda de Londres composta pela cantora e baixista Shingai Shoniwa, pelo guitarrista Dan Smith e o baterista Jamie Morrison. Combinam punk, soul dos anos 80, glam rock e muito estilo. Com dois álbuns lançados, What’s The Time Mr. Wolf? (2007) e Wild Young Hearts (2009), a banda londrina tem a capacidade de agradar públicos diversos, participando, inclusive, como banda de abertura para a nossa queridíssima Lady Gaga, na turnê da Europa. Aliás, quem ouvir o primeiro álbum e o segundo pode ter a sensação de que é uma banda completamente diferente. Mais pop, menos “noise”, mais comercial, menos guitarra, mais teclado… não importa, Noisettes arrasa e vale a pena conferir.

Como para bom entendedor meia palavra basta, Flake Music era o nome do The Shins quando 'the shins' era apenas o nome de uma música deles. Complicou? Então deixa eu tentar explicar melhor... The Shins é uma banda formada em Albuquerque, Novo México, mas agora com base em Portland, Oregon. Sua música é geralmente descrita como indie pop, mas nota-se influências de rock e folk. Eles tão na trilha do filme Garden State (Hora de Voltar). A banda surgiu em 97, com o nome de Flake Music. Acabou em 99 e todos os seus membros formaram o The Shins. xD

O Copacabana Club é uma banda nova do cenário curitibano e faz parte dessa nova leva de bandas lançadas pelo myspace. O som é dançante e as vezes parece bastante com o CSS (só que a vocalista, Caca V, é bem mais fofa que a Lovefoxx. ficadika!). Lançaram o primeiro single 'Just do it' em março desse ano e já estão fazendo festa fora do país à convite do Kayne West (ew!).

Sem mais, é meu novo vício. Eles tocaram agora em outubro no MADA, mas infelizmente não pude ir conferir. =~
